What you’ll get

A J2C-branded, plain-English written report — not a sales call. It lays out your current rate against your lender’s new-customer rate, the gap in real dollars, and a clear recommendation: ask your bank to lower it, refinance, or stay put.

  • Your current rate vs. the market and your lender’s retention pricing
  • The gap — in basis points and estimated annual dollars
  • A clear recommendation, including “stay with your bank” when that’s right
  • A script to use if you ask your lender directly
  • Optional 15-minute follow-up call with one of our advisors

Why is this free?

Because most home loans are structured badly, and most Australians don’t know it. We’d rather help you fix that — even if you stay with your current bank — than chase you for a refinance you don’t need. Some of our reviews genuinely conclude “your loan is fine, leave it alone.” If that’s the right answer, that’s the answer you’ll get.

We’re paid by lenders only when loans settle — so we have every reason to be honest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the free Home Loan Health Check

Yes. We don't charge for these reviews. We're paid by lenders only when loans settle, so we have an incentive to be honest — if we tell you to stay with your bank and you remember us when you're ready for your next move, that's a good business model for us.
No. The review produces a written report with our honest recommendation. Sometimes that's "ask your bank to bring your rate down." Sometimes it's "refinance." Sometimes it's "your loan is fine." You decide what to do.
Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI) is the premium you paid if your deposit was less than 20%. If you discharge the loan within 24 months of settlement, you may be entitled to a partial refund — typically around 40% within 12 months and 20% within 12–24 months. After 24 months, no refund. Specific refund mechanics vary by lender and LMI provider.
Documents are uploaded over an encrypted connection to secure storage with limited access. We delete documents 90 days after your review unless you become a client (in which case we retain them per regulatory requirements). Our full privacy policy is available on the site.
Then the Full Home Loan Health Check is the right starting point. We specialise in self-employed and SMSF lending, and the structural review is built for exactly these situations.
